Bird Watching 12/08/2016
15th August, 2016
Trip: Friday 12th August
A large flock of Swallows and House Martins were overhead as we set off accompanied by sunshine.
Numerous waders were seen, which on this trip included a Greenshank.
With perfect evening light the colourful Black-tailed Godwits were impressive and Dunlin and Ringed Plovers
on the Estuary gave a good clear view.
Gull numbers are increasing and four species were noted.
A Kingfisher very obligingly sat on a perch from where he fished.
32 species of birds recorded.
A trip with fine weather and lots of birds.
