Birdwatching Trip 4th April

Eat Out To Help Out This August

Birdwatching Tram Trip 4th April

Our trip coincided with the beginning of migration time.  Both Wheatears and Swallows were seen having arrived

from the African Continent.

The most impressive migrant though was an Osprey.  Having caught a fish from the river it flew slowly north

with its catch firmly held in its talons.  Wonderful!

Still some winter birds seen including Wigeon and Teal and a good number of Black-tailed Godwits, some

in stunning summer plumage.

We had clear views of the Herons on their nests at Axmouth and numerous handsome Shelduck were seen.

Another very enjoyable trip.
